Find The Right Dog Houses For Happy Pets
I have two dogs, a 100 pound Bouvier and a 12 pound ShiTzu. Two extremes in sizes, I know. Both dogs love to be outdoors and spend the greater part of the day in my back yard. Because I live in the Midwest, they have to endure hot summers and extremely cold winters. Before getting dog houses for them they would root around under my deck and get pretty dirty. I shopped online for dog houses for sale and bought them both dog houses and now they are happy and safe no matter what the weather conditions.
I got plastic dog houses called igloo dog houses for mine but you’ll have to decide what you like best. You can get a plastic or a wooden dog house. I liked the fact that I coulc easily clean the plastic and that they’ll last forever but the wooden doghouse definetely looks better.
Keep in mind that you need to get the right size igloo dog house for your dog to feel secure. There are several websites where you can learn the best way to measure for the right fit.
Choosing the correct size dog house ensures the comfort for your dog(s). If you live in a region with severe winters, bigger is definitely NOT better. If your region has extremely mild winters, a dog house “larger than necessary” does not present any problems for your dog.
Once you determine the right size you can also choose a model that works best for you. You’ll be able to find everything from the traditional style to Victorian models to match the style of your home.
