Vitamin supplements have enjoyed some positive publicity just recently, but despite what some people say, they are not a magic pill. The study took place in London, UK, and followed 180 workers in management roles within the manufacturing industry. During the study, one group were given a traditional vitamin supplement but the other half received a placebo with no nutritional value at all. After 8 weeks, those receiving supplements revealed in tests that they perceived an improvement in their quality of life.
Those who were receiving the placebo noticed no change at all. The conclusion of the study was that the nutritional supplements did actually make a positive impact on improving the managers’ moods and reducing their stress levels. All of this from just a daily multivitamin pill… with all those clinical trials to confirm their conclusions.
As ongoing research studies collect more data showing spectacular health benefits from vitamins and minerals, especially when used to support a natural detox diets, we’re right back where we were twenty years ago: eager to take advantage of all of this healing potential – and thoroughly confused.
